 These podcasts were completed by  Library Assistants, Spring 2008. The script is the .doc file. The  .mp3 file is the actual podcast.  This year we plan to do video podcasting check back to see how we progress.

  • Frances Hodgson Burnett (1849-1924) was born in Lancashire, England, but later emigrated to the United States, marrying a Knoxville physician, divorcing, and eventually settling on Long Island.
  • Her best-known works are Little Lord Fauntleroy (1885) and The Secret Garden (1911) and Sara Crewe, or What Happened at Miss Minchin's (1890).

     

    Burnett’s stories have proven to transcend the bounds of time and changing generations of readers. They have been translated to dozens of languages and inspired other authors’ writings and television and feature film adaptations.
